Here are two professionals whose journeys reflect what happens when we invest in the people who make recovery possible.

Glenn Collins

From Peer to Professional Leader
Glenn first attended an On the Front Lines networking meeting in August 2021 as a representative of a 12-step fellowship.

Over time, he became an active participant in monthly meetings and training opportunities, gaining both knowledge and community support.
In 2022, Glenn became certified as a Peer Recovery Supporter and soon after gained meaningful employment in the field. Through his advocacy for fair pay and professional value, he helped elevate the standard for peer roles across his organization.

  • Today, Glenn serves as a Peer Recovery Support Supervisor, demonstrating how continued education, mentorship, and empowerment lead to long-term workforce growth.

Tara Cain

Turning Purpose into Professional Pathways

Tara’s journey began in 2019 through work with the EMPOWER Project, researching how to support pregnant and postpartum individuals impacted by opioid use disorder.

After attending On the Front Lines networking events in 2020, she connected with the Addiction Service Council in 2022 and earned her Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter certification.

With OTFLCA’s guidance, Tara completed her Community Health Worker training and internship with Easterseals in 2023, followed by earning a Crisis Intervention credential, Kentucky Peer Support Certification, and CDCA license.

  • Today, Tara is employed in Hamilton County using her credentials to serve her community — and she continues to give back as a keynote speaker and workforce advocate for the next generation of recovery professionals.
